Although stamping on dominoes is nothing new in the world of rubber, it remains fun, easy, relatively
inexpensive, and quite addictive.
As if all this isn't enough, created results can be displayed in a variety of versatile ways -- jewelry,
magnets, collage elements,
embellishments for cards, and household decor (picture frames,
trinket boxes snack trays, coasters, etc)... The possibilities
may truly be endless.
But enough said, let's get started stamping up some Domino Darlings...
If you search the web, you're sure to find about a bazillion techniques used for stamping on dominoes.
Regardless of which
technique you choose, the following will prove invaluable for ensuring stamping
success --
Supplies:
91% Rubbing Alcohol
Cotton Balls and Swabs
Painter's or Masking Tape
Paper Towels
Stamp Positioner -
(we like the Stamp-a-ma-jig)
Damp Rag (for hands)
General Tips:
Know your products! The properties of various inks, possible product
interactions, and reactions to heat all
play a part in usage and/or order
of use...
Heat set and ALLOW TO COOL THOROUGHLY between each
media application,or before re-handling.
Work
in batches... You'll be less likely to try and speed things along,
proficiency will increase, and the process will seem less cumbersome.
Keep
hands and work surface clean! If you do, end results will require
less touch-up and be more professional looking.
