Technique #2 - Colored With Pencils

Surface Prep:                   Inks used:
Sanded or Bleached          Staz-On, (black and ultramarine)

Stamp doms in Staz-On and heat set.  When cool, use Prismacolor* pencils to color images.  Heat set again.  While warm, use
a cotton swab to buff color into surface (This is best done workingsection by section, one color at a time).  Heat set.  Allow to cool completely.
Glaze.

*Prismacolor pencils are recommended because of their high wax content -- with heat, the wax "melts" into the surface of the dom.

Additional information:
Dragonfly dom was stamped and colored exactly like the flower dom.  It was then misted lightly with alcohol, allowed to air dry, and heat set.
On the "Button Girl" dom, notice how nicely the white pencil shows up on the ivory-colored base.
